Alongside a busy performance schedule, Ashley works with a number of leading educational and outreach organisations, choirs and charities throughout the UK as a pianist, workshop leader, chorus master and conductor.
He has an ongoing relationship with the learning and participation departments of the Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne, Grange Park Opera and Garsington Opera, working to bring opera to a new generation of young people of all ages and backgrounds. Highlights include working as répétiteur for numerous world premieres at Glyndebourne and working as an Associate Artist to the Youth Opera Company at the Royal Opera House most recently preparing the Children's Chorus for the Barrie Kosky main-stage production of Carmen. Ashley is also the Assistant Musical Director to the Royal Opera House Community Chorus out in Thurrock, led by Jeremy Haneman.
Ashley has also worked with arts organisations across the country including Hounslow Music Service, Brighton & Hove Music Service, Lambeth Music Service, Croydon Music & Arts, In Harmony Lambeth, Southwark Splash, Snape Maltings (Aldeburgh Music), the New London Children’s Choir, the Centre for Advanced Training (CAT), Chelsea Ballet Schools, the Summer Music on the Shannon Festival in Ireland, Foyle School of Speech and Drama in Northern Ireland, Song Academy London, Take Note Blackheath, Alzheimer’s Society UK, Ex Cathedra.
