conductor Sian Edwards | soloist Melanie Pappenheim | chorus master Joanna Tomlinson | repetiteur Ashley Beauchamp | guitar Rob Luft | bass Paul Michael | drums Rod Youngs

“Working from diaries and notes of two decades ago, Sheila created a two voiced text (the child’s voice, an edit of things her son said) to form the piece’s beating heart. Set to music by composer Howard Skempton, with jazz interludes from trumpeter Byron Wallen, heading a band of leading musicians, Eye to Eye will be performed by a 100 voice chorus of women and children, trained by Glyndebourne, with soloist Melanie Pappenheim – in an extraordinary collaboration.”
